ANNUAL REPORTS

The Kay Williamson Educational Foundation under the will of the late Professor Kay Williamson, formerly professor of Nigerian Heritage at the University of Port Harcourt. The Trust, managed by friends and colleagues of Kay, has three main goals;

a) To prepare for publication various manuscripts and studies which remained after the death of Professor Williamson

b) To develop orthographies for Nigerian languages and to assist in the publication and dissemination of these

c) To encourage new research and publication on Nigerian languages

The trust has funds to disburse annually and can make small grants to applicants putting forward proposals that the trustees consider are in the spirit of the general provisions of Kay’s will.

It has been found that the most practical way of using these funds is support to publications, and to literacy committees. Therefore, preference will be given to grants for this purpose.

All applications are to be made through this website; the trustees are dispersed and cannot consider personal applications of any sort.
