This is the homepage for the Ghana-Togo Mountain Languages (GTML) a group of fourteen languages spoken between Eastern Ghana and the Benin Republic. The previous name for these languages was Togorestsprachen, following Westermann (1954) and in English by the translated name ‘Togo Remnant’ languages. Another name in the literature is Central Togo (CT) languages while the first discussion of them in French, by Bertho in 1952 called them sous-groupe Adélé-Avatimé. Following the first ever workshop on these languages, held in Ho, 24-8th July, 2006, it was decided to set up a web page to be a central resource for data and information.
